DASI Solutions, Michigan’s leading SolidWorks Reseller, has an immediate need for a SolidWorks Application Engineer in our West Michigan offices.

JOB TITLE:  Application Engineer

LOCATION:   West Michigan

DESCRIPTION:    Application Engineers deal directly with the Customers in both a Pre-Sales and Post-Sales capacity. Pre-Sales events team the Technical Staff with the Sales Staff to deliver Product Demonstrations and informative Seminars.  Application Engineers then help foster the growth and knowledge of our Customers by providing Technical Support, Training and Onsite Mentoring.  Application

RESPONSIBILITIES:

·             Conducting Product Demonstrations and Seminars

·             Displaying Exceptional Problem Solving Skills and Follow Thru

·             Answering the Support Phone and Logging Technical Support Calls.

·             Documenting Any and All steps taken to resolve a Support Request

·             Conducting Hands-On Training Classes on all aspects of SolidWorks Software

·             Exhibiting a Comprehensive Knowledge of SolidWorks Functionality as well as Proper Design Approach and Technique.

·             Ensuring that our Customers get the Answers they need in a Timely Manner

·             Updating and Maintaining Windows Based Laptops and Desktops

·             Ensuring that our Customers leave our classes with the Knowledge and experience to get their jobs done!

REQUIREMENTS: The successful candidate will have a Solution based approach to solving customer challenges as well as a Strong Knowledge Base and Presence in the Classroom.  Must be a problem solver with a get it done attitude and strong self-motivational attributes.  Must be comfortable speaking with both the executive level as well as the engineering level.  Must have high standards for themselves, their product and their services.   

·             Willingness to learn and become Proficient with new Software Applications

·             Must demonstrate Self Motivation and Problem Solving Skills

·             3 or more Solid Employment References from Relevant Sources

·             Excellent Communication and Presentation Skills

·             Direct Experience and Knowledge of the Mechanical Design Automation or related industries is very highly desired.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:   Strong Windows background and Communication Skills.

EDUCATION:    Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience.  Technical Background and SolidWorks Experience a strong plus.

COMPENSATION:   Base / bonus, commensurate with experience.
