A leader in the polystyrene industry is actively interviewing for an Engineer, preferrably a Mechanical or Chemical Engineer to assist in the rebuilding of all systems in a Chemical/Plastics plant located in Texas. A minimum of 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment. . Candidates with experience in the Navy as a repair officer or with nuclear power experience that have an engineering degree are highly urged to apply This position will require a person that will be able to develop a sound Preventative Maintenance Program and a person that can provide leadership in the development of improvements for the piping and heating systems. You will need to be knowledgeable of process, piping, pumping, steam systems, fluid systems and general engineering; in particular steam, condensate, and pumps. An understanding of heat transfer and thermodynamic applications would be a plus. This position will require a team player, who is not afraid to dig into the assignment, carry through the project. This position is not for the faint of heart. Salary will be commensurate with experience and skills.
