Role & Responsibilities

Exa Corporation is seeking experienced Application Engineers to join the field team for the North American Aerospace market. Reporting directly to the Technical Director of the North American Aerospace field team you will be responsible for the execution of services projects in the aerospace market and the support of industrial customers and partners in research organisations and academia. Your compensation package will include a base salary and a performance based bonus.

The position is located in Exa’s headquarters in Burlington, MA.

As Application Engineer you will:

·         Participate in all phases of the execution of services projects, including the preparation of CAD data, case setup, execution of simulations, post processing, report generation, and customer presentations.

·         Support the sales organization in the aerospace market

o        Prepare and present technical presentations to prospective customers.

o        Support sales managers and technical managers in creating and executing strategies and technical account plans.

·         Be a member of the customer support team for the North American aerospace market, handle technical questions from Aerospace customers, and support training sessions.

 

Required Skills & Experience

We are looking for candidates with a strong background in CFD applications and/or development in the aerospace industry.

·         MS or equivalent in Aerospace Engineering or closely related fields.

·         2+ years experience working with CFD tools in the aerospace industry or NASA.

·         Experience with common CAD tools.

·         Competence with common operating systems (Unix, Linux, MS-Windows) and MS office tools.

·         Experience delivering consulting services to the Aerospace or Automotive industries and other OEM’s is a plus.

·         Experience with experimental measurements and wind tunnel activities is a plus.

·         Has strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks/multiple projects simultaneously.
