Department Description:
The Enterprise Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence department is responsible for the implementation and support of multiple business intelligence initiatives that focus on data standardization, collection, information analysis and reporting.

Primary Purpose of the Position:
The Application Developer applies technical and application expertise in the analysis, design, implementation, and production management of business intelligence applications within the EDW. This position will identify and evaluate new business intelligence requirements translating those into BI solutions that satisfy the business need. This position will also be responsible for supporting existing BI solutions and providing user support and training.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
* Research and document data warehouse business intelligence reporting requirements.
* Communication of BI requirements to other EDW team members for data modeling and ETL requirements.
* Participate and assist with business user support and training.
* Design and develop Business Intelligence Applications such as data cubes, reports, and dashboards.
* Design and establish metadata applications to make EDW information available to the business community.
* Provide expertise and support in EDW BI methodology, processes, and standards.

Qualifications:
Required-

* Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to work in a dynamic team environment and comfortable and credible interacting with both technical and business organizations required.
* Signed A.C.I.P.A (Associate Confidentiality and Intellectual Property Agreement) on file.
* Bachelor's or higher level degree or equivalent in related discipline or equivalent technical work experience.

Preferred-
* Experience in the Cognos BI tool suite such as powerplay and C8 reportnet.
* Experience in designing and developing BI applications.
* Experience in the development of SQL including the ability optimize and tune existing SQL code.
* Working knowledge of business processes (e.g. sales, marketing, finance, supply chain, purchasing)
* Experience in supporting end users in using BI applications from both a data and tool perspective.
* Experience in BI concepts, processes, and implementation.
