Essential Responsibilities: This position is on our Investment Systems team and will help set technical direction for the team. The ideal candidate will combine a strong technical background with leadership and persuasion skills. This person will supervise off/on-shore resources through a portfolio of projects ensuring high productivity, high quality/engineering and on-time delivery of all development deliverables. The position requires a variety of disciplines including, architecture design, vendor management, solution delivery, software evaluation and review, software integration, data warehousing, and web/reporting technologies. Work with the Investment project managers, and customers to provide technical expertise and solutions to current business needs. Assist in the creation of detailed development project plans, schedules, and estimates. Accurately report project time and progress. Facilitate the creation of a detailed architecture that takes into account growth, disaster recovery, and costs/benefits. Provide leadership/mentoring in regard to design, construction, testing, implementation and maintenance deliverables. Ensure adherence to development, testing and data architecture standards and procedures. Ensure successful and timely completion of application development efforts both on and off-shore. Work with system and network engineers when appropriate to make sure that any application issues are identified and solved. Assist in resource acquisition and identify development staff requirements. Evaluate development and overall technology trends and their applicability to our present and future environment. Qualifications/Requirements:
Basic Qualifications / Eligibility Requirements Bachelors degree in Computer Science/similar discipline or High school diploma/GED with a minimum of 10 years computer experience. Minimum of 5 years experience as an application developer with experience in web related technologies. Minimum of 3 years experience in a senior or lead technician position. Willing to comply with pre-employment screening, including but not limited to drug testing, reference verification, and background check. You must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.

Desired Characteristics Financial Services Industry background Experience with asset management industry technology implementations, development and operational support. Experienced developer in more the one of the following: Java, ASP, JSP, XML, Servlets, JDBC, J2EE, XHTML, DHTML, Java Script, C++ Experienced SQL developer ideally against multiple database vendors. Experience with ODBC, JDBC, Oracle, PL/SQL and SQL. Background and familiarity with systems architecture design standards and patterns: MVC, MDA, etc. Background/familiarity with UML driven analysis and diagramming, object oriented programming, and pattern driven development standards. Excellent verbal, presentation, negotiation and written communication skills Strategic thinker with technology vision. Ability to multi-task and work under little supervision/self-motivated. Fast learner who quickly picks up new systems and processes. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to detect underlying patterns, identify root causes, and design optimal process solutions. Strong leadership, team-building, vendor and customer relationship skills Data Warehousing experience Technical knowledge of web/reporting writing tools (Business Objects, Crystal Reports, etc.) Technical knowledge of ETL development tools (Informatica) Six sigma training/awareness IMLP Graduate General:
