Senior Assistant Manager Position Overview: To direct all activities required to achieve all store goals, including sales objectives, client service, human resource management, payroll and operating expenses, loss prevention, and merchandise presentation in the absence of the Store Manager. This position is assigned one of four Divisions of Responsibility (DOR), which rotate on a regular basis (Human Resources, Merchandise, Operations and Business). The Senior Assistant Manager should be competent in each DOR prior to being considered for a Store Manager position. Position Requirements: ?Human Resources: Proven ability to recruit and develop others Client Service: Ability to function as a role model, ensuring that the client remains the top priority Organization: Ability to organize, delegate, prioritize, meet deadlines and follow-up on all activities within Division of Responsibility, and for store in Store Manager’s absence Leadership: Ability to challenge and motivate associates in an atmosphere of mutual respect and with professionalism Merchandising: Knowledge of visual standards and techniques, and ability to implement within Ann Taylor’s guidelines Communication: Demonstration of strong verbal and written communication skills to Store Manager, Area Manager, District Manager/Director, Home Office and store associates Business Analysis: Knowledge of store reports in order to maximize performance, drive volume, and react to trends in the business Educational Requirements and Experience: Minimum Requirements: Associates or Bachelors degree preferred Minimum two years management experience in the service industry We offer a highly competitive salary, a comprehensive benefits package, and a generous Associate Discount Program.
