Battelle is a world leader in science and technology research. Our Safety Pharmacology group specializes in discovery, development and safe use of biologically active chemical entities by the identification, monitoring and characterization of potentially undesirable pharmacodynamic activities in non-clinical studies. TOXBC is seeking a Technician in Columbus, OH for full-time rotating shift work. Compensation will be based on qualifications and experience. A full benefits package will be provided. Relocation support is not available.

Primary Position Responsibilities
-Perform animal husbandry and required animal manipulations for the Safety Pharmacology group.
-Assist with safety pharmacology related techniques including, data collection, data analysis, equipment operation and quality control.
Required Qualifications

-Candidate resumes must demonstrate the following minimum requirements in order to be forwarded for consideration:

-A high degree of manual dexterity and the ability to work wearing a respirator.
Ability to frequently bend, stoop, and lift heavy items.
-Experience with and qualified to perform animal related technical procedures used by the Safety Pharmacology group.
-Specific experience with safety pharmacology studies.
-Data measurement and manipulation experience.
-Must be able to work rotating shift, including weekends and holidays.
   Preferred Qualifications

-One to two years of experience in a LAR environment is desirable.
Preference will be given to candidates who hold an associates degree or higher in animal care.
