The anesthesia technician assists MDs and CRNAs in the preparation and maintenance of patient monitoring devices and anesthesia delivery systems. They assist in the acquisition, preparation, assembly, and application of the equipment and supplies required for the administration of anesthesia. Rapid preparation for O.R. turnover and restocking of anesthesia carts in all areas, as well as the management and restocking of the anesthesia workroom are basic duties. Those applicants trained in sterile technique may occasionally assist in the placement of postoperative pain management blocks and catheters. Proper sterile processing of laryngoscope, fiberoptic scope, and specialty scope components is a desirable, but trainable, component.

202 bed hospital with a max of 12 anesthetizing sites, expandable to 16 in the future. Recently opened new O.R. / ICU tower. Level II trauma center. Employed by North Fulton Anesthesia Associates, a private-practice anesthesia group with excellent benefits, in affluent northern Atlanta suburbs.
