                Anesthesia/Surgery Department Technician Manager

Tufts VETS is looking for a manager to fill the above position. You will oversee and mentor multiple technicians as well as facilitate the day to day operations of the department.

Experience:

Previous management responsibility-1-2 years

Perform anesthesia

Surgical technician background at a specialty hospital

CVT or BA with 5 years experience as a technician

Skills

Instrument care, sterilization

Patient prep for surgery

Aseptic technique

Use of anesthetic equipment and monitors

Experience providing tech support for advanced orthopedic, soft tissue and neurologic surgeries.

Strong phlebotomy skills

Basic familiarity with anesthetic and analgesic protocols

General:

Inventory management

Strong communication and interdepartmental relation skills

Supply and implant ordering experience
