Bell Medical Inc. has specialized in anesthesia sales and service since 1975. Our service department is made up of BMET and CBET technicians that have been trained by Datascope, Draeger and Ohmeda to service anesthesia machines. We are an (ASO) Authorized Service Organization for Draeger and an (ISO) Independent Service Organization for Ohmeda.
Bell Medical, Inc. presently seeks a Field Service Technician within the ST. LOUIS, MO area to service hospitals, surgery centers and doctors offices with preventive maintenance, repairs and safety tests on their equipment, mainly consisting of anesthesia machines, ventilators and patient monitors.
The successful candidate will have the minimum of an associate’s degree with BMET or CBET certification and at least 2 years experience in hospital environment. Experience and training with anesthesia machines and ventilators desired. Must have enthusiastic attitude and willingness to do whatever it takes to assure customer satisfaction. Candidate must be willing to sell service contracts and assist in selling of Bell Medical products and service.
Good communication skills and customer relations. Good analytical skills for troubleshooting and repair required.
Responsibilities include:
· Repair, calibrate and maintain customer equipment.
· Follow appropriate policies, procedures and hospital protocols.
· Document all maintenance and repair actions and submit completed paperwork according to schedule.
· Maintain working knowledge of biomedical instrumentation and medical devices within designated area of responsibility.
· Inventory Management.
· Working with the sales department in the solicitation of service contracts and anesthesia machine sales via telemarketing and sales calls.
Work requirements include regional travel and occasional overnight stays. Position may require travel outside of assigned region.
Compensation includes salary (based on experience and training), expenses, medical/dental/disability insurance and SEP/IRA contribution.
