Responsibilities
Responsible for the review of applications by physicians, institutions and allied health providers for participation in managed care programs. Responsibility includes review of applications for completeness and accuracy; contact with physicians to obtain or clarify information, entry of data into Plans credentialing system. Respond to questions by Plan management and physicians regarding application status. Processes all provider credentialing and re-credentialing files in a timely manner, while adhering to Plan guidelines. High school graduate, Bachelors degree preferred. Two to three years job-related experience. Experience in managed care field preferred. Excellent organizational and communication skills are required. Basic computer and telephone skills are a must. Candidates with a high degree of tact and good judgment are preferred.
