Ohio Department of Transportation is seeking to employ an Aircraft Maintenance Superintendent in The Aircraft Support Services Section. The individual will maintain all state aircraft, manage fuel quality control, directly supervise staff and manage flight certification of state aircraft and maintenance programs under administrative supervision of the aviation manager of the section. The individual will ensure compliance with FAA regulations; manufacturer’s requirements and operation; and the federal, state and local Environmental Protection Agency by conducting periodic tests. The individual will be responsible for maintaining accurate and current fuel storage and dispensing files; and preparing and reviewing reports and relevant documents related to all state aircraft, fuel quality control, and flight certification of state aircraft and maintenance programs.
The ideal candidate must possess the following minimum qualifications: License Requirements: Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic Certificate per 65.71 of Federal Aviation Regulations and Inspection Authorization per 65.91; 42 months experience in aircraft maintenance operations; 9 months experience in operation and maintenance of ground support equipment; 6 months training or experience in supervisory principles and techniques; or 6 months experience in lead worker capacity in aircraft maintenance. The starting salary is $46, 301. Excellent benefits package included.
