Factory Design Labs is a highly creative Denver-based advertising agency that boasts a client list most shops only dream of: Audi,Paramount Pictures, Oakley, Airwalk,  Scarpa, The North Face,  Winter Park ski resort, and Sony Pictures; to name a few.

Our clients come to us for progressive and award-winning work. The awards on our shelves are not dumb luck as a result of a project we managed to sneak through. It's an expectation on each and every job we begin. Due to continued growth, we have an opening for an Account Manager.

 

Major Role

The Account Manager is the day-to-day point person for all project and activities on the account.  He/she should have a strong understanding of the client’s business and be able to act as an extension to their marketing department. It is the Account Manager’s responsibility to ensure effective/efficient account operations within the agency environment.  Day-to-day management of all aspects of the account, including strategy, creative, production and media are paramount to excel in this position.  In this role,the Account Manager is expected to carry out the daily account activities, but also think and act strategically on behalf of the client.  He/she must also be a mentor/teacher to the Account Coordinator.  The Account Manager reports to the Account Supervisor or Director.

 

Major Responsibilities and Duties

·        Assist in the management of opening jobs.

·        Write creative briefs and brief Creative and Interactive teams on upcoming assignments.

·        Estimate creation and obtain sign-off from department managers.

·        Work with production to develop timelines for projects .

·        Determine strategies and messaging for projects and campaigns with Director.

·        Oversee development of milestones and work orders in CMP; follow-up.

·        Solicit and understand client feedback on all jobs and create work orders accordingly.

·        Guide production jobs through the agency.

·        Manage timelines to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

·        Track all jobs to ensure they are within hours estimated and budget.

·        If any jobs are over budget, prepare appropriate support documentation outlining reasons why for review weekly by Director.

·        Manage accounts pro-actively, understand the Client’s planning cycles and manage all assignments and timelines accordingly.

·        Master presenting in front of agency and clients.

·        Review and craft conference reports when needed.

·        Manage daily and weekly updating of the revenue projections with Director.

·        Work with accounting to ensure weekly billing of projects as needed.

·        Write and manage status tracking report.

·        Manage all projects and request activity for updates.

·        Gather background and research for new business pitches when asked.

·        Prepare annual competitive analysis for clients.

·        Lead brainstorming sessions.

·        Demonstrate clear and effective communications when dealing with both internal staff and clients.

·        Manage the organization of all metrics and reporting.

·        Responsible for helping the Account Coordinator organize and gather historical account information – creative briefs, signed estimates, invoices, past work, scripts,agency/client correspondence, layout and beta approvals and proposals.

·        Direct management of Account Coordinator and grooming the Account Coordinator for success in Account Management.

 

 Requirements:

 

+Bachelors Degree in Advertising, Marketing or related field strongly preferred

+3+years progressive related experience, ideally in an agency environment

+Online and offline project management skills highly desired.

+Excellent organizational skills – critical for success in this position

+Detail oriented

+Proficiency in Microsoft Office

+Enthusiastic,“goes above and beyond” to achieve results

+Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills

+Candidates with sports/sports equipment experience highly desired. Additionally, interest in skiing, snowboarding, climbing, hiking, running and other outdoor pursuits would be helpful in developing relationships and credibility with the assigned clients.
