Sutter Davis Hospital is a not-for-profit, 48-bed acute care hospital with a strong outpatient focus. The present facility, a 94,000-square-foot building that anchors a 20-acre medical campus, opened in 1994 after a five-year planning process that included extensive employee and community involvement. The original building was established in1968 as a for-profit hospital owned by physicians. Sutter Health purchased the hospital in 1981 to ensure residents of Yolo County would continue to have quality care into the future. Sutter Davis Hospital is fully accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. Maintains the productivity and statistical system of SDH.  Responsible for coordinating, preparing and maintaining all aspects of the annual operating and capital budgets on a daily and monthly basis by prescribed deadlines, development of key statistical parameters, interfacing with department managers, including data input, reconciliation and reports generation.

Education: A Bachelors Degree in Finance, business Accounting or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Experience: Must have significant experience in the areas of healthcare accounting, budget analyst, maintenance of case mix/reimbursement information system, healthcare financial analysis or reimbursement analysis.  Additional experience in the following areas would be helpful: progressively responsible positions in financial management, budgeting, computer modeling and cost accounting. 

Knowledge:  Knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, patient accounting/reimbursement, audit requirements of the healthcare industry and budgeting is required.  The incumbent must also have a strong knowledge of personal computers and software (spreadsheets, graphics, word processing, database management, download/upload procedures).  Knowledge of CPTr, DRG, and HCPC coding is highly desired.

Special Skills/Equipment:  The incumbent must have strong analytical and problem solving skills.  Must have extensive knowledge of personal computer spreadsheet and graphic software.  Must be able to work with all levels of management and translate complex system issues to non-financial managers.  Ability to meet deadlines while handling shifting priorities and coordination of projects is required.
