Basic Function: Assist employees with various personnel issues such as benefits, payroll, sick and vacation time. Complete required reports. Assist Human Resources Director with administering personnel policies.
Primary Duties:
Assist employees with general day to day matters, such as benefit coverage, employee policies and procedures.
Prepare packages and meet with new employees and conduct new hire orientation describing benefits, policies and procedures, pay calculation, etc.
Prepare paperwork on terminated employees. Meet with terminated employees to explain Cobra rights, final paycheck, and answer any questions.
Review and pay invoices on such benefits as 401k plan, hospitalization, group life, long-term disability, dental and Aflac insurance. Generate necessary reports and ensure in balance.
Assist with hiring process to include preparing ads in recruitment sources, notifying applicants of the status of application, pulling background information, administering and scoring tests, and preparing offer of employment letters as advised.
Assists in maintaining personnel records, such as employees’ files, employment applications, and applicant flow data.
Secondary Duties:
Serve as back up for processing payroll.
Maintain and follow up on all pending matters to include missing documentation for files, 401k enrollment, etc.
Prepares various reports in reference to retirement plans, health insurance and other benefits, government requirements, and compensation.
Performs related duties as assigned.
