Job Description:

Accounts Receivable Manager, SNF - Skilled Nursing Facility, Patient Accounting, SNF Medicare Part-A PPS reimbursement, SNF Medicare Part-B reimbursement, SNF claims audit and appeal processes, SNF Medi-Cal (California) reimbursement, SNF and Medicaid (Utah) reimbursement, Managed Care billing and collections, SNF Consolidated Billing rules and procedures

Director of Accounts Receivable and Patient Accounting

What you will be doing:

~ Lead the billing and accounts receivable function in a way that maintains full compliance with the applicable government guidance and to achieve and maintain accounts receivable levels (e.g., days in sales outstanding {DSO})
~ Take full accountability for accomplishing the company's goals with respect to the billing and accounts receivable function.

What you will need for this position:

- Extensive experience with skilled nursing facility billing and collections
- Experience guiding billing and accounts receivable staff in a multi-facility skilled nursing facility organization
- Experience in analyzing, fine tuning and/or creating policy and procedures for the billing and accounts receivable staff
- Experience and ability to effectively interface with operational staff as well as corporate and financial staff
- Experience and ability to effectively interface with clinical staff as well.
- Expertise in the following Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) areas is REQUIRED:
~ SNF Medicare Part-A PPS reimbursement, including a high level knowledge of the impact of the MDS on reimbursement
~ SNF Medicare Part-B reimbursement including a high level understanding of coverage criteria and required supporting documentation
~ SNF claims audit and appeal processes including fiscal intermediary audits, recovery audit contractor audits and other government audits and initiatives
~ SNF Medi-Cal (California) and Medicaid (Utah) reimbursement including eligibility, billing mechanics and collections processes
- Managed Care billing and collections including establishing eligibility, obtaining authorizations, interpreting contract provisions, billing at appropriate levels of care, billing properly for excluded items, etc.
- SNF Consolidated Billing rules and procedures
- An understanding of the clinical issues effecting billing and accounts receivable
- Compliance with laws, regulations and other guidance governing billing and accounts receivable procedures
- Teaching and training experience and talent
- Experience training and guiding regional (accounts receivable consultants) billing and accounts receivable staff
