JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for compiling and maintaining accounts payable records ensuring the accurate and timely accounting, processing and payment of invoices.

 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Answers all vendor inquiries

·         Process vendor invoices, employee expense reports and check requests in accordance with policies and procedures

·         Process requisitions, purchase orders, and general ledger accounting coding

·         Maintain vendor information and prepares annual 1099 reporting

·         Process stop payments and void check requests

·         Prints accounts payable reports and maintains accounts payable files

·         Assists in monthly closings

·         Assists with accounts receivable and special projects, as necessary

·         Process payroll and related reports

 

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

·         One year certificate from college or technical school or three years accounts payable experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of both

·         Proficiency in Excel and Word

·         Great Plains experience is a plus

·         Must be well organized with attention to detail

·         Ability to carry out duties with little supervision

·         Excellent oral and written communication skills

·         Ability to build professional relationships
