Accounting Manager
Comcast Cable (Angwin, California)

Responsible for preparation and review of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
*Responsible for maintaining the internal control environment and ensuring compliance with internal controls.
*Analyze business operations to ensure proper accounting treatment and provide suggestions for business improvement.
*Monitor and review of balance sheet and related account analysis.
*Research and provide guidance on technical accounting issues.
*Act as liaison for the Division with internal and external auditors.
*Provide accounting expertise to operating management.
*Responsibilities will also include management of cash reconciliation.
*Provide a high level customer service to market management, divisional teams and headquarters.
*Responsible for all aspects of monthly close process for the Regional Office and other reporting entities.
*Monitor and analyze general ledger accounts to ensure accurate financial information is presented to management at month-end.
*Adjust and evaluate various accruals to ensure their accuracy.
*Consolidate monthly financial results for regional entities and communicate results to system, region and division management.
*Prepare additional account analyzes as requested by management.
*Perform ad-hoc financial analysis to support business needs.
*Serve as primary point of contact to third party vendors and various levels of management for accounting inquiries.
*Other duties and projects as assigned.

Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance

Required Skills:
Education
Bachelor's degree with a major in Accounting/Finance or the recognized equivalent thereof. (CPA preferred). 3 to 5 years experience in industry and/or public accounting or similar work environment.

Other requirements:
Strong analytical skills.
Ability to communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization (presentation skills and written communication).
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word and Outlook).
Knowledge of Essbase, CSG billing system, Brio and other accounting software.

*Cable experience preferred.
