Newark is looking for a highly motivated Accounting Manager that would be responsible for the leadership and management of the Accounting and Payroll areas. This position is responsible for the month and quarter end close processes as well as the internal and external audits. This position is responsible for all financial data and processes surrounding the general ledger and external financial reporting to Group. This position is required to manage and develop a team of financial professionals that provides value added support to key internal customers and functional groups. Responsible for supporting the key strategies, leaders and initiatives for said customers / groups.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide accurate financial reporting that complies with Legal, Group and Local requirements and deadlines. Manage and develop a strong team of professionals that can provide value-added support to key internal customers / functional groups. Foster an environment of continuous improvement in staff and processes. Ensure Payroll is processed timely and accurately. Drive process improvements and improved communications as it relates to our remote locations ? Mexico and Brazil. Enforce compliance with our Internal Control program. Proactively provide timely, insightful, actionable and accurate financial reporting, analysis and recommendations to key functional areas throughout the organization. Ensure the successful completion and delivery of corporate projects and initiatives. Support the internal and external audits.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor?s Degree, CPA required, MBA preferred. 6-10 years of demonstrated progressive financial management experience. Strong US GAAP and International Accounting Standards knowledge. Previous Payroll experience a plus. Strong leadership capabilities. Strong communication and presentation skills. Strong project management skills. Strong negotiating and influencing skills. Ability to develop, maintain and manage good partnerships, customer relationships and service levels Strong aptitude and experience with financial systems technology utilization and development.
