Xact Data Discovery is a national Data Discovery and Management company that provides streamlined Forensic, Electronic Discovery, Data Hosting, Data Management, Imaging/Coding and Paper Discovery Services to law firms, corporations and government agencies.  At Xact Data Discovery, communication is everything—because clients need to know where their data is throughout the entire process, as well as understand the valuable information and knowledge they can attain from it.

We are seeking an Accounting Manager for our Mission, KS headquarters.  The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and maintaining the accounting system that properly reflects the financial position of the company. The Accounting Manager reports to the VP, Finance and Accounting.

Essential job functions include, but are not limited to:

·                    Oversee the timely and accurate monthly and year-end close processes and annual financial audit.

·                    Prepare reports that summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses and earnings based on past, present and projected operations.

·                    Maintain the company accounting policies and procedures. 

·                    Supervise staff, review work papers and processes.

·                    Communicate with field management on required revisions and updates.  Train management and staff on financial systems and processes.

·                    Maintain effective communication with third party tax advisors, vendors, bankers and regulators.

·                    Assist in due diligence that may arise with potential business opportunities.

·                    Control accounts payable activity to coordinate timely vendor payments while managing cash flow.

·                    Assist in the development and implementation of annual budgets and procedures.

Skill Requirements

·        Excellent verbal/written communication skills.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of key stakeholders, managers, employees, clients, and the general public. English fluency required.
