Put your talents to the test with RTI Tradco specializing in the manufacturing of precision aircraft parts. We are looking for an Accounting Manager who is able to lead an accounting department with our growing company. The ideal candidate is responsible for managing the plant accounting department under the direction of the Plant Controller. The successful candidate will plan and direct accounting activities within the account department of RTI Tradco by performing the following duties, personally or through subordinates:
· Assists in the development and implementation of goals, policies, priorities, and procedures relating to financial management, budget, accounting, and/or payroll.
· Supervises and participates in the preparation of various financial statements and reports.
· Assists in the installation and maintenance of accounting records to show receipts and expenditures.
· Maintains general ledgers, accounts receivable, revenue distribution, cost, property, and operating expenses, and insurance records.
· Participates in cost analyses and rate studies.
· Provide support for Controller for Sarbanes Oxley compliance.
· Assists internal audits involving review of accounting and administrative controls.
· Uses established system controls and procedures to improve existing systems.
· Coordinates preparation of external audit materials and external financial reporting.
· Reviews financial statements with management personnel.
· Assists in the maintenance of accounting, timekeeping, payroll, property, and other related procedures and controls.
· Oversees and directs Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll.
· Performs limited Comptroller functions under the direction of the Plant Controller.
· Provides direct support to RTI Tradco Controller.
· Provides information to Corporate Accounting Department and President, RTI Tradco per Controller direction.
· Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
This achievement oriented Accounting Manager will have five (5) or more years experience in accounting in a manufacturing environment. Further requirements are knowledge of MS Office with proficiency with MS Excel. This position also requires experience with SAP or equivalent and an automated payroll system.
Education and/or Experience – BA/BS Degree, Accounting or equivalent from a four (4) College or University and five years related experience and training.
Excellent supervisory skills are a must as the successful candidate will directly supervises three employees in the Accounting Department. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees.
Pay for this position is will be commensurate according to experience and education.
