Develop & administers Accounting policies, programs, and practices including planning, organizing, developing, implementing, coordinating, and managing implementation. Responsible for formulating policies and procedures as well as implementation for all accounting and human resource sub-systems with direction from the Controller, CFO and Human Resources personnel. Oversees and directs the work of the accounts payable and payroll departments.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Responsible for the oversight and implementation of all financial systems including all Great Plains (or similar) systems and subsystems including General Ledger, A/P, P/R and HRIS. Administration and coordination of the General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Payroll, and Fixed Assets. Writes, publishes, and administers policies and procedures for the systems managed and coordinated. Stays current on all law and regulatory changes related to accounts payable and payroll. Provides advice and recommendation to management team based on current regulations and legislation. Prepares, recommends, and maintains records and procedures for controlling payroll and personnel transactions and recording employee data. Coordinates the maintenance of all personnel records with the appropriate members of the Human Resources Department. Hires, trains and develops staff on applicable accounting and reporting systems including but not limited to all accounts payable and payroll personnel. Provides critical support in the training and development of human resources and operations personnel utilizing financial and reporting systems in the home office and field. Oversees compensation and performance reviews for all direct and indirect reports. Manages and provides compliance reporting as necessary for the accounts payable and payroll functions including but not limited to all 1099 and W-2 reporting. Manages and ensures the accuracy of weekly, monthly and annual payroll tax compliance and reporting processes. Ensures the availability and accuracy of all data required for the timely and accurate reporting and payment of all sales tax liabilities. Provides support to the Human Resources department in preparation of and compliance with all federal and state reporting requirements

Willingness to make decisions; must exhibit sound and accurate judgment. Able to plan work activities and prioritize tasks effectively and efficiently. Excellent organizational skills. Excellent computer skills and knowledge of all facets of accounting systems.
Bachelor’s degree. Preferrably major in accounting.
Minimum five years in positions of increasingly responsible supervisory positions required
Eight to ten years in related accounting and systems experience required.
Experience in accounting for a restaurant or multiunit experience.
