Paragon Systems, a leading provider of computer software and services to Fortune 500 Companies is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager in its Virginia Beach Office.  In this position you will be responsible for:

Performing month-end, fiscal year-end account reconciliations, closings and journal entriesPreparation of weekly cash flow projections and sales reportsFinancial statement compilation and interpretationPreparation of annual budget with previous year's variancesExternal financial reportingJob costing analysis with recommendationsInternal inventory and asset managementAccounting for payroll, commissions, and employee benefit packagesManaging A/R, A/P and General LedgerContract reviewAssisting sales departmentManaging maintenance contract renewals

Qualified candidates should possess:

A bachelor's degree in business or the equivalent of education and experience.  A minimum of 3 years of experience  is expected and experience with accounting for the resale of 3rd party software, hardware and the related services is a plus!  The successful candidate should be proficient in computer skills and usage, especially Microsoft products, spreadsheets, graphics, and Quick Books software. The candidate should possess a high energy level, and be comfortable performing multi-faceted projects in conjunction with normal activities. Also required are strong organizational skills, and an aptitude for the design and development of administrative process improvements.  Must possess the ability to manage staff and maintain positive relations with clients and vendors.
