Position Title: Assistant Controller

Reports To:      Controller VP Finance

Position Summary:  Manage all accounting financial services, people, and reporting for emerging import/export business. Liaison with sales, logistics, and forwarders to coordinate customer deposits, and release of funds to manufacturers. 

Prepare all monthly journal entries for financial close, and review monthly financials for reporting. Responsible for reviewing and recording of all transactions in Accounting System. This responsibility would include designing Reports, and Database Management.

Essential Functions include but are not limited to:

Knowledge of GAAP, all general ledger and subsidiary ledger accounting processes; month end close of books, and good people skills.  

Skilled in implementing General Ledger Accounting packages for new business. Experience with on line transactions and payments.

Strong skills in public reporting and business results analysis. 

Ability to manage staff of 4 to 5.

Previous public audit experience essential, with at least 3 years public, and 2 or more years private experience as desirable.

Good organization skills necessary, team player, good communicator.

Qualifications/Skills Required: QuickBooks and SAP Accounting Software experience desired. Accounting degree, CPA and audit experience required.

Experience: At least five to ten years public and private accounting & financial reporting experience.
