A large and rapidly growing Manufacturing and Distribution company in South Orange County is looking for an Accounting Manager. This position will be the primary Accounting tactician for the organization. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for ensuring all financials are properly recorded, reported and in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. The position will be responsible for managing all General Accounting functions which will include primary responsibility for working with general accountants on Month End, Quarterly End, and Year End Closing activities. The Lead Manager will work closely with other departmental manager's to lend support as well as provide cross functional reviews in the absence of the Senior Manager Accounting, he/she will need to assist in preparation and provide strong direction for the general accountants as it relates to the various monthly processes. The position will be responsible for coordinating all internal and external audit functions and the Accounting Departments SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) reporting, assisting Senior Manager Accounting with managing resources to achieve appropriate results (performance evaluations, individual/team development, career planning and training, achievement of departmental goals/objectives, etc. and perform other ad hoc duties as necessary to insure the smooth operation of the department.

The appropriate candidate will need to have a BA/BS in Accounting, CPA is preferred, expert level knowledge of General Accepted Principals and Procedures, a minimum of 5+ years of experience in various accounting functions with demonstrated track record of success, good communication and interpersonal skills, consumer packaged goods and international experience a plus.
