Job description/ Responsibilities:
The Accounting Manager will be a member of the finance team managing the company’s primary accounting activities. Primarily responsible for all General Ledger preparation.
Specific responsibilities include:
Manages all accounting functions including but not limited to general ledger, accounts payable, fixed assets, and payroll. Manages month-end close and monthly account reconciliations. Prepares financial statements and related reports in a timely and accurate manner including but not limited to balance sheets, income statements, cash-flow reports, variance analysis, and footnotes. Reviews, evaluates and implements accounting systems, policies, and procedures. Coordinates annual and quarterly independent audits for GAAP. Ensures compliance with statutory payroll, sales & use tax and property tax reporting. Oversees accounts payable function including but not limited to compliance with expense reporting, capitalization policy, and purchase order procedures Hires, trains, supervises, motivates, and develops accounting staff; manages schedules and workflow. Assists with special projects as required. Supervises accounting staff of 7 (3 direct,4 indirect) including payroll.Requirements:
BA/BS in Finance, Accounting or equivalent with 5-7 years experience, CPA Very solid and sound technical accounting knowledge in U.S. GAAP Audit experience -at least three years- in one of the "Big Four" accounting firms is strongly preferred. Strong systems, analytical, and problem solving skills. Oracle 11i system knowledge preferred. Strong understanding of finance and accounting concepts and internal control processes. Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to influence and resolve issues at various levels of the organization. Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to work collaboratively at all levels of the organization
