Accounting Manager

AM Search, a division of Armanino McKenna, the largest California based CPA firm, is conducting an Accounting Manager search for one of its clients. A celebrated youth sports association, this organization has over 250,000 players and team officials, and thousands of volunteers and supporting parents. Reporting directly to the General Manager and the CFO, this position supports the Northern California headquarters, and also the District Treasurers of the nine member districts. The Accounting Manager will manage and lead an internal accounting staff of 1, and the nine District Treasurers in the timely and relevant financial reports that assess the performance of the organization. The Accounting Manager is responsible for the general accounting and finance operations of the organization, including budgeting, preparation of the audited financial statements, general ledger, fixed assets, payroll, accounts payable and receivable, and the ongoing enhancement of accounting processes and controls in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. 

Requirements:

Exceptional accounting skills and knowledge of GAAP/FASB requirements. Strategic thinker with hands-on ability and attitude 5 to 7 years of relevant accounting and finance experience Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline Proven experience with accounting software, ACCPAC highly  preferred Previous youth sports or not-for-profit experience preferred
