Very success commercial real estate firm seeking an Accounting Manager to grow into a CFO role.
Accounting
§ Maintain an internal system of financial controls
§ Produce tenant invoices and monitor collections
§ Monitor increases in tenant base rent and calculate tenant additional rent
§ Manage accounts payable and receivable
§ Issue vendor payments and confirm accuracy of invoices versus contracts
§ Perform monthly bank account reconciliations
§ Produce general ledgers, journal entries, and balance sheets
§ Issue investor distributions as and when determined by asset management
§ Compare bank ledger and cash account balances on an ongoing basis
§ Manage bank relationship for corporate and property accounts
§ Serve as liaison to third party accounting firm(s)
§ Manage the process of producing annual financial statements and coordinate financial audits with third party accounting firms, as required
Financial Reporting
§ Run financial reports and variance analysis for asset management
§ Produce quarterly property-level financials, including an income statement, balance sheet and statement of cash flows
§ Participate in the annual budgeting process for investment properties
§ Monitor equity account balances and compute investor IRRs
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required – finance, accounting or related degree preferred; Real estate experience preferred; Candidate must be a self starter, well organized, detail oriented, analytical, able to multi-task and prioritize, ethical and mature; Proficiency in Quickbooks and Excel is required; knowledge of other property management applications (i.e., MRI) a plus.
90-110K + bonus
