Magazine and the  Minnesota/St. Paul Business Journal, is looking for a motivated and talented individual to join the Accounting and Finance team. This individual will play a key role in the continued expansion of the Accounting and Finance department, with responsibilities focused on duties including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and general ledger reconciliation.

 

Essential Job Functions

·         Assistance with various Accounts Payable functions, including purchase order reconciliation and monthly reconciliation

·         Daily Cash Reconciliation functions, including daily cash deposits and credit card transaction reconciliation

·         Assist Controller with monthly and year-end close, including general ledger account reconciliation, account analysis, and monthly accrual postings. Also assisist in the development and maintenance of various reporting to divisions of the business.
·         Assist with payroll department with journal posting, department cost allocation, and account reconciliation.              

 

Requirements

·         At least 2 years accounting experience

·         Proficiency with Microsoft Office software

·         Experience with accounting software systems

·         Exceptional attention to detail

·         A desire to learn and the drive to make a difference
