Accounting DirectorFacebook is seeking to fill the position of Accounting Director. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of our general ledger accounting, technical accounting, and external reporting processes. This person will have the ability to architect and implement the procedures, processes and systems to enable us to meet the operational, reporting and other requirements of a growing business. The successful candidate will possess the leadership and interpersonal skills necessary to navigate and organize a growing company, as well as to mentor and grow the finance function.
Responsibilities: Manage the day-to-day accounting activities Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information Manage the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting packages for management Research technical accounting issues to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP Participate in the enhancement of our enterprise financial reporting systems – Oracle financials implementation Manage the consolidation of foreign entities’ financial statements to the GL Oversee all aspects of equity accounting - stock ledgers, options accounting and expensing – expertise in FAS 123, 123R and 150 a big plus Support M&A activities including, due diligence, valuations and accounting treatments Respond to requests from the external auditors Develop SOX compliant internal systems, processes and practices Other projects as needed
Requirements:
12+ years experience in accounting with increasing responsibility Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is required CPA in addition to public company experience required Experience in establishing and growing international financial operations Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP Experience with large multi-org ERP system required - Oracle experience a plus Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills A proven team player with a good sense of humor
