Accounting Clerk (A/R) – Downtown San Jose, CA

Virtual PBX, inventor and leading provider of Hosted PBX services in the telecommunications industry, is currently seeking a full-time accounts receivable clerk, 8am-5pm, M-F. The position will require an individual with strong organizational skills, who can take direction well and is self-sufficiently productive. The ideal candidate for this position should have an associate degree in a field related to Finance/Accounting or at least 1-2 years experience in a related industry. Excellent customer service/communications skills and attention to detail is a must.

Primary Responsibilities:

Answer and make calls to customers concerning billing-related issues Promptly respond to customer emails Receive checks and run credit cards Manage accounts by monitoring balances, sending out past due notices, blocking/unblocking accounts Create/maintain processes currently in place Enter expense reports Create process/internal documents as necessary Other duties may be required as this position develops

Required Skills:

Basic computer knowledge including experience with MS Word and Excel, email and QuickBooks Ability to grasp basic technical concepts Excellent customer service and communication skills Positive attitude Able to be firm with customers in collecting past due amounts
