JOB DESCRIPTION

Ruchman currently seeks an Accounting Clerk I to serve on its contract with the Department of Justice/Drug Enforcement Administration. Accounting Clerks rely on their double-entry bookkeeping skills to perform simple, routine accounting clerical operations. Tasks of an AC I include, but are not limited to:

Posting actions to journals
Identifying subsidiary accounts affected by debit and credit entries
Preparing documents to adjust accounting classifications and other data
Reviewing lists of rejected transactions to identify reasons for rejection then preparing corrective materials.

On routine assignments, employee selects and applies established procedures and techniques independently. Detailed instructions provided for difficult or unusual assignments. Completed work and methods used are reviewed for technical accuracy. Employee will be trained on FFS (Federal Financial System) for accounting input.

 

Requirements

Knowledge and professional experience working with accounting principles to include maintaining journals or subsidiary ledgers of an accounting system and balancing and reconciling accounts. Typical duties will include reviewing invoices and statements to determine that sufficient funding has been obligated; coding transactions and processing material through data processing. Analyzing and reconciling data from reports and taking action to ensure that accounts balance. All positions are on-site at a Drug Enforcement Administration facility and require a U.S. Government Security Clearance to be obtained.

 

Candidates with illegal drug history/use and unfavorable credit history need not apply.

 

A Corporate officer will be visiting each city to conduct interviews at Hotel conference rooms over the course of one month…due to the number of cities with vacancies, they will only be in any particular city for 2~3 days.  If you are chosen, a corporate representative will call you to schedule a time to meet.
