Brief Description:
Treasury Finance is looking for an outstanding individual to join its Funding Team to support Treasury’s debt issuance.  This role will incorporate the firm's cost of debt, financial statement disclosures, and how that cost is distributed to the various businesses within Merrill LynchJob Responsibilities:

Treasury Funding Accountant with strong technical skills to support the accounting and reporting of the firm’s ML&Co. & UK&Co Debt Portfolios($200bn). Responsibilities include:

Review of new debt issuances, daily accrued interest, & weekly yield estimates.Perform monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations.Preparation of journal entries for the monthly close.Prepare Legal & Management reporting results.Provide and Coordinate all Quarterly debt disclosures.Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should posses either private accounting or public financial control accounting experience (3-6 yrs) related to fixed income securities and derivatives.  Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance. Familiarity with the accounting for long and short term debt, swaps, & FX derivatives.   Excellent technology skills with strong Excel (macros, pivot tables, look-ups and filtering).Working knowledge of Access and Summit is a plus.  Highly organized, detail oriented and proactive. Energetic and decisive, with high level of integrity. Strong interpersonal skills as this job, by its nature, deals with most businesses within Merrill Lynch.  Ability to tackle complex problems and drive projects to completion.
