Description: Eaton Corporations World Headquarters Financial Accounting Department, located in Cleveland, Ohio has an immediate opening for an Accounting Analyst. This position assists in the processing of accounting information from worldwide operations ensuring and maintaining data integrity. Provides corporate level support and guidance to WHQ and operations regarding general accounting and system issues. Responsibilities include preparing and analyzing board of Directors, senior management, and external financial reporting, analysis and reconciliation of inter-company transactions, assist in the monthly close process, and provides management with timely, accurate financial data that aids in the decision making process. Must be able to manage interruptions to daily workflow and urgent requests from upper management. The individual may need to complete special projects/analysis at the request of management. Additional duties would include working on departmental objectives. Opportunities to use multiple systems including Oracle general ledger, Hyperion consolidation, and the Longview Khalix forecasting tool. Individual should enjoy working effectively in a fast paced environment with flexibility to change.

Qualifications: Undergraduate degree in accounting, CPA or MBA preferred. Ideal candidate would have three to eight years of experience in progressively complex and varied accounting assignments. Must also have strong analytical skills, ability to summarize findings and present solutions, customer service focus, a sense of urgency and ability to demonstrate an emphasis on continuous process improvement. Good verbal and written communication skills. Experience in PC spreadsheets is essential. Hyperion software and other corporate systems (Khalix, Oracle) would be beneficial.
