The position of Accountant is part of Plante & Moran’s internal accounting and finance team. The team manages the accounting for the Firm’s 50 reporting units (multiple offices, entities and consulting/industry groups). Total revenues of the Firm exceed $250M+. Primary functions of the internal accounting and finance team include:Accounts Payable Accounts Receivable and BillingCollectionsFacilities ManagementFirm Profit PlanningFinancial ReportingStaff PayrollPartner PayrollPension/401K AdministrationRisk Management TreasuryFirm (and related entities’) Tax ReturnsPOSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Accountant position will be based in Southfield, Michigan, and will work within Plante & Moran’s internal accounting and finance team. Responsibilities include:Maintaining the monthly general ledger, underlying accounting reconciliations, account analysis for approximately 50 reporting units, and workpaper binder (approximately 150 accounts)Preparing adjusting entriesFinancial statement preparationPeriodically reviewing work schedules, management financial statements, etc. Assisting other team members when necessarySKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES:
