Basic Objectives       

        The consultant will be assigned to work as an accountant in the FIN/ACO Capital Markets Accounting unit responsible for the accounting and reporting of the Bank’s investment and funding operations.  Primary tasks will be as follows:

a.      Perform and verify reconciliation and analyze account balances and transactions to ascertain the accuracy and integrity of transactions recorded in the subsidiary systems (Investment Management System (IMS) and/or the Borrowing Management System (BMS)). 

b.      Perform and verify reconciliation of subsidiary systems to the General Ledger. 
c.      Review documents and entries to ensure conformity with relevant regulations, policies and procedures.  Identify deviations from US GAAP and/or Bank policies and procedures and recommends corrective action.

d.      Any other assignment by supervisor.

Languages:      English (Spanish preferable)   
Education:        BA Degree in Accounting
Experience:     Three years experience in accounting. Demonstrated experience in financial analysis. Demonstrated skills in team working, analysis and solving problems, written and oral communication skills. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Products: Excel, Word, Access, and Power Point. 

Preference will be given to candidates with accounting experience in a banking field.
