Accountant assists in the control and maintenance of the General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Project Accounting and Cash Management systems. Performs various reconciliations to ensure the integrity of the financial systems. Prepares and analyzes internal and external management and financial reports. Reconciles balance sheets and income statements, and prepares journal entries as needed to ensure credible financial data. Assists in the preparation of tax returns and other required government filings. Assists in company and employee benefits audits. Assists in the  energy market settlement process.                 .

 

Successful Candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of related experience. Strong general ledger, spreadsheet and database experience. Knowledge of electric or utility accounting a plus.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Oracle Financial Experience desired.
