Hammes Company Sports Development, Inc. is a leading national real estate development and project management firm with an excellent opportunity for a full-time Project Accountant. This position is responsible for processing purchase orders, contract revisions, project accounting, including reviewing payment requests and coordinating payments to third parties, preparing and finalizing monthly submittals and progress reports to clients, maintaining project budgets, maintaining project website and assisting Project Directors and Project Managers with preparing and updating financial information and analyses as directed. This individual will maintain accounting procedures, cost controls and financial and other management reporting systems.
The ideal candidate will have experience in the real estate or construction industry. He/she will:
1) have three to five years of accounting experience in a professional and fast-paced environment;
2) have the ability to stay organized, meet deadlines and take direction;
3) have experience with MS Word and Windows programs (experience with Solomon a plus, but not required). Preference will be given to candidates with experience monitoring/maintaining a multi-server network environment.
Degree in Accounting and CPA designation are required.
This position will be located in Madison, Wisconsin. Occasional travel is required.
