Job Description: Job Summary: This position within the Cost Accounting department is responsible for the allocation of corporate administrative expenses to appropriate business units. This position will partner with and advise operational areas on allocation and cost tracking methods. This position also serves as a resource on generally accepted accounting principals and financial accounting standards board rules. Assists in developing and maintaining internal procedures. Assignments are broad and complex in nature. Accountabilities: 1. Analyzes complex accounting interrelationships. 2. Conducts meetings with other areas of the organization to provide guidance and determination of appropriate allocation of expenses. 3. Ensures allocation rules are appropriately applied. 4. Assure monthly close schedule timelines are met. 5. Classifies and/or reviews recording of routine to complex accounting transactions. 6. Reconciles assigned general ledger accounts to account detail monthly. 7. Identifies accounting problems, researches solutions, and presents conclusions to management. Required Qualifications: 1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. 2. Fours years of accounting experience. 3. CPA or CMA preferred. 4. Strong communication skills.
