ABOUTSHELTON
The Shelton Group, a WBE-certified ad agency founded in 1991, works exclusively with companies taking an energy efficient and/or green product, service or message to market. We approach it from all angles by representing:
Utilities marketing energy-efficient and green programs to consumers
Manufacturers selling energy management systems to utilities
Building products makers selling energy efficiency-related products to consumers
Trade associations marketing to the nation’s architects and electric utilities
We believe in listening first and speaking second. Thus, we design and execute qualitative and quantitative research and planning studies (listening) followed by branding, direct marketing and/or advertising campaigns (speaking).
This approach has resulted in brands, marketing programs and ad campaigns for the American Institute of Architects, BP Solar, Knauf Insulation, the NationalRural Electric Cooperative Association, Middle Tennessee Electric, Cleveland Public Power and Vectren Energy. We have also worked with the Tennessee ValleyAuthority (TVA), crafting ad campaigns for their energy right® and Green PowerSwitch® programs for their distributors.
We practice what we preach, too. In order to provide our clients with the freshest insights into the minds of their consumers and keep them abreast of market trends, we conduct Energy Pulse©—our proprietary, national, consumer market study—on an annual basis. That way we can listen before we speak, too.
Bottomline: Through our daily consultation with energy-related clients, ongoing participation in industry conferences, creation of primary research and weekly review of industry publications and reports, we understand this space – and what consumers are thinking about it – better than any ad agency inAmerica. And that all translates into marketing success.
