JOB SUMMARY: In this role you will be responsible for managing the retrieval of information required for insurance submission from healthcare customers. This position establishes and maintains professional and customer-oriented relationships with healthcare customers, the Account Managers and Regional Managers. In addition you will assist internal customers and the field Sales team in developing strategy to address accounts special requests.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage retrieval of administrative items, including updated prescriptions, statements of medical necessity, medical records information and CT scan report from healthcare customers. Educate healthcare accounts about administrative requests and the corresponding processes and regulations required for federal and state compliance. Functions as primary internal contact for healthcare customers, reimbursement department, account managers and regional managers on a regional basis. Follow-up and resolve issues on any outstanding administrative items defined as overdue. Works with Account Managers to assess level of support accounts require. Assist with any special projects assigned. Communicates possible sales leads or new account set ups to appropriate Account Manager. Educates healthcare customer and Account Managers on Medicare criteria requirements along w/process changes. Qualifications
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: High School diploma required; 2 year Associate's Degree strongly preferred. 2-3 customer service experience required. 2-3 years in medical claims, healthcare or durable medical equipment industry strongly preferred. MS Office experience required. Iternet savy. Lotus Notes and JD Edwards experience preferred. Detail-oriented. Strong computer skills. Organized & possess the ability to prioritize workload. Excellent communications skills including written, verbal and telephone. Negotiation skills. Medical Terminology. Ability to work independently. Strong critical-thinking, problem solving abilities.
