Nellcor, of Covidien, seeks to hire a Patient Monitoring Account Manager for the New York, Manhattan area. Nellcor Puritan Bennett is now the Respiratory and Monitoring Solutions (RMS) business unit of Covidien, formerly Tyco Healthcare. RMS systems are used to monitor, diagnose and treat respiratory disease and sleep disorders, and they provide life sustaining ventilation and oxygen support for patients. TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES Leads the development of sales opportunities in the hospital and surgery center market for respiratory and anesthesia products. Collaborates with Region Managers (RSMs), Hospital Clinical Consultants and Puritan Bennett Sales Representatives to gather pertinent information, provide incomparable service, reach or exceed target revenue goals, and qualify "significant growth potential" accounts. Works as individual agent and as team member to sell across Nellcor portfolio. Probe, develop and close all Nellcor respiratory and anesthesia product sales inquiries within assigned geographic territory. Facilitate sales process and sale to closure. Provide broad product portfolio application consultation as well as clinical support. Follow up with customer after sale to ensure satisfactory In-servicing of products. Responsible for total Nellcor Respiratory Portfolio of Products and Services. Maintain a broad knowledge of product applications. Maintain a broad knowledge of services (i.e. Financing plans, VAPs) Develop and qualify all sales leads. Utilize Specialist and Clinical resources in an efficient, cost effective manner to optimize sales process. Educate customer on product benefits and applications. Inform RSM and local area team members of new account opportunities. Provide customer with product demonstration or clinical trial as well as product information. Develop broad enterprise solutions for the customer, leveraging the total Respiratory portfolio. Provide clear product financial performance data. Provide direction and focus for the Local area account team Profitably sell Nellcor product and service portfolio Provide customer focused product training and in services. Requirements: Bachelor s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or university (G.P.A. of 3.0 or higher preferred); five years medical sales experience and/or clinical/medical training. Understanding of Respiratory Therapy, Anesthesia and related products and services preferred. Able to quickly compile with supporting financial business case. Knowledge of Hospital critical and sub-acute care market. Knowledge of competitive products and strategies. Strong computer expertise and business application. Thorough understanding of the sales process. Understanding of the medical sales arena.
