The Respiratory and Monitoring Solutions division of Covidien seeks to hire a Airway Management Specialist(AMS) TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES Leads the development of sales opportunities in the hospital and surgery center market for critical care products. Collaborates with Region Business Managers (RBMs), AMS and Puritan Bennett Sales Representatives to gather pertinent information, provide incomparable service, reach or exceed target revenue goals, and qualify "significant growth potential" accounts. Works as individual agent and as team member to sell across Nellcor critical care portfolio. Probe, develop and close all Nellcor critical care product sales inquiries within assigned geographic territory. Facilitate sales process and sale to closure. Provide broad product portfolio application consultation and clinical positioning. Follow up with customer after sale to ensure satisfactory In-servicing of products. Responsible for total Nellcor Critical Care Portfolio of Products and Services. Maintain a broad knowledge of product applications. Develop and qualify all sales leads. Utilize Specialist and Clinical resources in an efficient, cost effective manner to optimize sales process. Educate customer on product benefits and applications. Inform RBM and local area team members of new account opportunities. Provide and service the customer with product demonstration and clinical evaluations. Provide direction and focus for the local area account team on all critical care products. Requirements: QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or university (G.P.A. above 3.0 preferred). Minimum of 3-4 years of proven sales experience with medical sales and demonstrated clinical training preferred. Basic understanding of the following hospital departments; ED, OR, Anesthesia, Respiratory, ICU, etc. Demonstrated ability to effectively sell premium priced products/brands. Understanding of Hospital critical and sub-acute care market. Knowledge of competitive products and strategies. Strong computer expertise and business application. EOE
