Job Description:
Summary:

This position is reponsible for generating service sales in the metals, utility, and other industries in Northeast Ohio. Candidates should have experience in electrical power call out service, maintenenace contracts, and large fixed price project business in the electrical power distribution and automation field. The candidate should have very good experience in power distribution systems, relaying schemes and circuit breaker and substation maintenance. The successful candidate will be able to define markets and accounts, identify service opportunities and bring together the resources needed to obtain business. The position will work closely with other Siemens sales divisions, business units, and some distributors.

Job Family Responsibilities:

Guides unit to achieve business objectives at key accounts (for example, penetration of account with product/solution/service offerings). May identify, develop and manage channel partners to achieve channel goals. Leverages Siemens global reach to influence decisions on projects for delivery to the customer in the US, or purchased by the customer in the US. Guides the development and execution of strategic account plans to ensure achievement of assigned business goals. Develops / builds / cultivates long-term relationships with key management within the customer organization. Assists management in devising sales plans and strategies. May develop forecasts, budgets and operating plans for sales channels. May form account teams and coordinate team activities while minimizing sales and marketing costs and maximizing sales. May lead team reviews and updates of account plan based on changing market, customer conditions, and competitive activity.

Key Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for generating service sales in the metals, utility, and other industrial vertical industries. This position will focus on service sales for power distribution and automation products and systems. Performs advanced areas of work for the professional field. Applies advanced skills to resolve complex problems not covered by existing procedures or practices independently. Displays a high level of critical thinking in bringing successful resolution to high-impact, complex, and/or cross-functional problems.

Education:

Bachelor of Science in Engineering and/or equivalent experience.

Knowledge and Experience:

5+ years of experience in selling service contracts and large fixed price projects as part of a solution sales. Candidates must have experience with metals/steel industry and have demonstrated experience with power distribution systems. The successful person will be able to define markets, define accounts, identify service opportunties and bring together the resources needed to drive business. The position will workly closely with the sales division, Business units and some distributors. Must have exceptional interpersonal skills and technical skills. This position will be based in the Cleveland, OH area.
