Job Summary The Account Manager (AM) is responsible for developing relationships and penetrating sales in existing and gifted Ship-to locations of Strategic Accounts, Large Accounts and Mid-Market Accounts within a geographic territory. This position is based in Fairbanks, Alaska.The AM serves as the primary contact for buyers and works together as needed with Sales Manager, Product Specialist, Customer Service and other company resources to manage the day-to-day relationship.Job Summary Target Segment: ? Ship-to locations of Strategic Accounts ? Large and Mid-Market Accounts ? Minimum of $12,000 in annual sales potential ? Existing and gifted Corporate Express Accounts Accountabilities: ? Achieve retention and penetration targets in existing and gifted accounts ? Achieve product mix and other L.O.B. targets based on account potential Key Responsibilities: ? Manages day-to-day relationship with customer by developing a high value-add relationship with key contact/buyer ? Identifies short-term and long-term sales retention and penetration opportunities ? Coordinates account servicing and fulfillment with support from Customer Service Time Allocation: Customer Time (60%) ? 25%: Customer contact selling time ? 25%: Customer contact maintenance time ? 10%: Non contact time Non-Customer Time (40%) ? 17%: General administration, personal and other ? 15%: Travel ? 8%: Internal meetings Competencies: ? Excellent customer service skills ? Self-starter, results oriented ? Strong verbal and written communication skills ? Strong presentation skills ? Strong time management and organizational skills ? Strong financial acumen ? Computer literacy, including competency related to MS-Windows-based applications ? Proficient in CE solutions: E-Way, ISIS, Procurement Analyzer ? Detail oriented with strong administrative follow-up and follow-through ? Strong interpersonal skills ? Demonstrated analytical, negotiating, and problem-solving skills ? Thorough knowledge of company products and services Education and/or Experience: Bachelor?s degree and a minimum of four (4) years direct selling experience required. Office product industry experience helpful, distribution selling environment a must. Candidate should be competitive and self-motivated with strong work ethic. Must be confident and trustworthy with a genuine concern to balance both the company and the customer needs.
