Respond is not just another dot.com.  Founded in 1999, Respond is an online marketplace connecting purchase ready consumers to quality local businesses. Today, Respond provides over 300 project categories including home improvement, wedding planning, financial management, and business services for people looking to hire local businesses.

Respond is looking for an entrepreneurial spirited professional interested in joining our small team responsible for customizing as well as providing technical support and fixes for the Respond.com website and customer service application.

Specific responsibilities of this position will include:

·         Designing, developing, and documenting software.

·         Troubleshooting software issues and developing patches.

·         Working on development environment and configuration management issues.

Successful candidates will have:

·         B.S. in Computer science or a related field (GPA 3.5 or higher) is required.

·         1-3 years direct experience with Java/JSP, SQL application development.

·         Experience with SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle is a significant plus.

·         Experience with Windows Server Administration, Scripting and Perforce are added pluses that will put your resume to the top of the stack.

·         Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.

·         Ability to work as a team player in an interrupt-driven environment with time pressures and tight deadlines.

·         Sharp communication, organizational and time management skills.

·         Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage internal customer expectations.
