Sears partners with other businesses to create value in the marketplace and drive sales either online or into stores. Account Managers are responsible for the identification, development, and growth of key national accounts in their respective sector/industry. These accounts require strategic thought and an appreciation for the operational details involved within SHC’s execution. Account Managers must be comfortable managing accounts at high and low levels of a company in order to capture business. The position requires a breadth of experience, including appliance, repair services; the ability to create tailored, cost effective solutions that impact our customers bottom line. This position requires a self-driven individual with an ability to develop key relationships, deliver revenue, and make things happen where it matters.
Qualifications • Identify targets and acquisition strategies and execute to plan • Develop and grow revenue from existing relationships • Strong grasp of business drivers, balance sheets, and total cost of ownership concepts. • Develop new ideas to grow business with external partners • Learn from operational issues during execution and improve outcomes in future • Ability to identify and match large accounts needs with company capabilities. • Learn the systems and processes within SHC that enable us to create value for other firms • Travel 30-50% of time KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Education/Experience/Training • An understanding of the Home Warranty industry and more specifically, the claims process. • Ability to develop or leverage existing contacts in the Home Warranty industry. • Bachelors, or its equivalent experience, is preferred, • Project management experience preferred • Change management training preferred • Large Account Management experience is preferred • Demonstrated ability to negotiate profitable contracts with key accounts. • Three + years of successful complex selling experience, with strong emphasis on end user/commercial sales. Experience • Exposure to the Home Warranty industry is critical • Exposure to the service industry (technicians, repair/replace, etc) is expected • Retail experience is helpful • Operations experience is preferred Role specific abilities/skills • Strong presentation development and delivery skills • Highly skilled in problem solving, conveys innovative ideas and progress to senior levels of management. • MS Office experience
