JOB PURPOSE
In order to develop the US Market in accordance with our North American strategy, this role is pivotal in supporting the future development of our innovative cross-media solution for Direct Marketing in the Americas called “eBridge: Personalized Integrated Media”. Sony DADC has developed a unique technology that allows optical media (CD/DVD & alternative physical formats) to become a compelling direct marketing vehicle. The optical media delivers direct marketing content via the disc (PC or connected DVD player) and “bridges” the physical direct marketing environment with online interaction.
The offering involves providing a packaged physical media direct marketing solution combined with a series of online & digital media services to capture consumer data and develop one-to-one consumer relationships. Typical response rates for the eBridge offering are superior to traditional direct marketing tools and deliver significantly more detailed customer information.
It will be essential for this role to support, manage and execute the multi-layered eBridge campaigns and act as the point of liaison with Brand owners and advertising agencies. The position requires a focused Account Manager who is keen to work with a committed team to meet the expected growth of the North American Market. Must possess strong communication and relationship building abilities in order to support Clients and Agencies regarding complex solutions. Must be very comfortable and proficient in a highly accountable and deadline driven environment.
KEY TASKS
Account management with Advertisers in specific industries including Telecommunications, Leisure, Car industry, FMCG/Retail Brands and Financial Services
Account management supporting Advertisers and Direct Marketing agencies with campaigns
Problem solving and ‘first point of contact’ for ongoing campaign management
Work closely with existing and prospective Advertisers in support of how we can expand on campaigns and support their supply chain needs
Develop detailed project plans and timing schedules, monitor deliverables
Monitor and track success rate of campaigns in partnership with the Advertiser
Market research, develop target and client profiles, client and creative briefs
Campaign management & liaison on behalf of the client with Sony DADC manufacturing & supply chain sectors
Administration support as required
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
Candidates must have at least 3-4 years experience in the marketing, media and/or communication industries either within an agency, consumer brand company or from a large direct marketing company
Proven track record of account management success with Fortune 500 brands
Excellent interpersonal and client/customer facing skills
Proven analytical and research skills
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
Proven track record & understanding of the cross-media environment from digital to traditional media platforms to consumer focused integrated multi-media applications
Enthusiastic and inspiring professional with the ability to influence and negotiate
IT literate, advanced power point highly beneficial
Dynamic, entrepreneurial focus, a self starter who can work without supervision
PREFERRED SKILLS
Relevant Business or Marketing undergraduate degree
Dynamic, media, consumer or Direct Marketing agency background (international network agency preferred)
A passion and applied interest in media, consumer marketing & industry trends
Ability to show initiative, to identify potential opportunities and areas of development for the business
Creative insight into the North American marketplace and international trends
A good network of industry contacts
Innovative point of view, ability to evaluate and positively resolve challenges
