Job Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent 2 or more years of related experience. 1. Thorough knowledge of underwriting principles/techniques and SBU Underwriting guidelines. 2. Thorough knowledge of coverage and pricing of all business offerings. 3. Understands our market and competitors. 4. Understands principles of sales, sales techniques, and sales terminology. 5. Understands principles, techniques and terminology of claims and the SBU Claims process. 6. Understands and works within regulatory environment. 7. Knowledge of personal computers, company-approved software, and business system applications. 8. Understands how to navigate the internet and intranet and assess the value of available information. 9. Interprets/analyzes financial statements. 10. Broad knowledge of customers' business and operations. 11. Understands financial results of SBU and how the AE job affects the bottom line. 12. Knowledge of company's vision, organizational structure, culture, philosophy, operating principles, values and code of ethics. 13. Understands and applies techniques to manage multiple priorities. 14. Possesses a high level of motivation to achieve necessary involvement within a team. 15. Understands the importance of and demonstrates a commitment to personal and professional growthLicensed to sell insurance products.
