Responsibilities: The Account Executive will be responsible for managing Georgia-Pacifics (GP) commercial business in their designated territory; manage a portfolio of at least 125 end-user accounts and various distributor customers; as well as develop and manage annual growth plans with strategic distributor customers, works with key end-users to create demand for GP lead products and supports local sales efforts of non-assigned Distributor Sales Reps (DSRs) through end-user activity within their primary segments of focus. This includes delivering financial results through assigned sales territory that assist the district in meeting or exceeding our quarterly objectives by: - profitably managing a portfolio of strategic end-user customers for growth and deeper penetration of lead product solutions, and for cultivating relationships with new end-user prospects that create a competitive advantage for GP. - managing and tracking the progression of all assigned end-user customers through the sales pipeline process. - managing the relationship with the strategic distributor customers in a way that creates a competitive advantage for GP. - managing the day-to-day resource needs of the assigned distributor customers through effective utilization of all provided corporate resources. - assisting team members of GP to create additional value for the company. - conducting business on behalf of GP in a lawful and prudent manner. - (Strategic Sales Professional) creating a demand for GP products through consultative sales techniques at both the end-user and distributor, with a primary focus on equity lead solutions. (Industry Expert) keeping abreast of market dynamics through successful completion of all Commercial certification requirements and ongoing participation in assigned market segment accreditation activities. (End-user Expert) cultivating and managing relationships with strategic end-user customers in a way that provides a competitive advantage for GP. (Distributor Resource) forging a partnership with assigned distributor partners that help both the distributor and GP attain profitable and mutually beneficial growth. - (Local Pricing Manager) strategically managing local pricing decisions in a way that provides the most economical return for GP and effectively leverages agreed-to concessions for future market opportunities. - (Team Member) proactively supporting all members of the district and GP overall, through the sharing of best practices, relevant knowledge and skills and support of local market segmentation efforts where applicable. Education: - Bachelors degree. Basic Qualifications: - Prior progressive work/educational experience in a sales, managerial, leadership, customer service and/or relationship building role. - Experience using the Microsoft Office Suite of Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel. - Valid US Driver's License. Knowledge - Skills - Abilities: - Demonstrated ability to work independently against a variety of objectives using time management skills to meet and exceed internal/external customer expectations. - Strong communications skills including oral, written, presentation and active listening. - Demonstrated ability to view problems, issues and needs from a customers perspective; incorporating creative problem solving techniques to identify appropriate solutions. - Demonstrated ability to maintain consistently updated customer activity reports/files; or similar data-mining capabilities. - Demonstrated ability for continuous learning in a highly competitive, fast changing market place.
